Dr. Jenny Emma Sager Like:
Biography

Dr Jenny Sager is an Associate Professor of the ELLS Programme. She received her undergraduate degree in English at the University of St. Andrews and she holds a doctorate in English from the University of Oxford, completed under the supervision of Professor Emma Smith. Before joining UIC, she has previously worked in the UK, Germany and the Middle East. Her research interests include Shakespeare and early modern English drama.  Her book The Aesthetics of Spectacle in Early Modern Drama and Modern Film was published in 2013 by Palgrave Macmillan, her special issue of the Shakespeare Bulletin was published in 2014 and she currently has an article forthcoming in the journal Early Modern Literary Studies. She is currently working on a monograph on early modern theatrical sequels.
