Dr. Juyoung Lee is an Assistant Professor in the ELLS Programme at UIC. She teaches Introduction to the Study of Language, Language Teaching Methodology, and Curriculum Development and Materials Design. She received her PhD in Linguistics from the University of Texas at Arlington, USA. Her doctoral research was on psycholinguistics and second language acquisition. In her PhD dissertation, she examined both monolingual and bilingual speakers' English processing in online sentence comprehension. She received her MA in TESL/Applied Linguistics at Iowa State University, USA. Originally from South Korea, she also received her MA in Linguistics at Sogang University. Her research interests include second language acquisition, psycholinguistics, corpus linguistics and bilingualism (bilingual sentence processing).
